Personality and Motivations:
Lilypad often feels very much like an outsider due her stripes and was often treated differently as a young filly. Lilypad struggles with fitting in, which is much of her base issue. She isn't quite a pony, neither she is quite a zebra, causing her to feel that she don't quite fit in.
She isn’t bitter now, merely withdrawn and not quit as social as normal ponies would be and rather skittish and rather nervous around new ponies and places. Though once she warms up to people, she is friendly and cheerful even if she prefers to be a background pony.
She is bright within her field, though doesn’t care much for books or long dry studies nor is she very practically beyond her gardens. She prefer simple life, and while she likes Ponyville she can’t help it but to dream about exploring new places, however she is too nervous to actually do it.
She has somewhat of a phobia for large crowds, and hates gatherings of any kinds unless she gets to do what she does best – planting and dealing with flowers.
Lilypad is very much of a dreamer, and has strong desire to leave Ponyville, but lacks the confidence to do anything that causes major changes in her life. She very much hate the unknown where she would loose control.
For most ponies, their cutie mark marks what causes them to be unique from other ponies. It define them as who they are and what they are good at. For Lilypad it defines what she can, but in many ways she still struggles with knowing who she is. She knows she has a talent revolving flowers and plants, but since her cutie mark isn't just a flower bouquet, it more of a pattern.
At the same time as she very much likes being in company of other ponies, she doesn't have the same strong desire and it helps for her to be near a crowd, or going to the market. She doesn't have to talk with anypony, she just need to see them.
Bio:
The story of Lilypad much began with her father, an Earth pony with a fondness of exploring faraway lands and cultures. After one his longer journeys, he returned to his hometown with a young filly, which had her father’s creamy coat and those odd stripes. Refusing to answer any questions regarding who her mother was, he left her at his parents before taking off again to another journey to the end of the world and beyond.
Lilypad herself don’t remember much of life before Ponyville, nor her mother or father. Her only parents in her mind were her grandparents. Growing up, she got her cutie mark at a young age after starting to help her grandma during Winter Wrap Up Day by planting flowers.
Ignore crappyness of the art, need to find someone to draw her >_>''[/blockquote]
