Time for another challenge, folks!
Call it what you want: Halloween; Hayloween; Samhain; Nightmare Night; it's all the same: a night for treats, costumes, and frights!
What kind of costume would your character wear for Halloween and why?

"I would probably wear a dark blue sorcerer's robe with a hood decorated in silver stars and moons. I'd also wear a silvery mask to hide my face so everypony will wonder who I am."

Ahhhh, I have no idea what I'd wear! I don't have much time, or unicorn magic to help me out. Nothing I could make would be very impressive, though, so maybe I should just stick to something simple. I'm pretty sure I've got a white sheet I could use for a ghost! Classic is always good! Wooooo!

Uhm... Am I allowed to join in with this? It's more of a pony festival, but the decorations look so cool when the Appleloosans put them up. A-And I've got a costume! I started to make a kind of coat out of the feathers my friends sometimes drop for me - if I finished it, I could go as a raven! I don't understand why people think ravens are something to be feared, but that would work for Hayloween, right? And that way, nopony would realise it was me under there... I could go without drawing attention. It's been a long time since I really joined in with anything run by ponies, so maybe this could be a good thing!

"I'm going as Celestia of course! Who else? I've gone as her since a filly, and each year my costume gets better and better! This year it's the best yet! It's a full body suit that goes from my neck all over my body and over my hooves with a hole for my tail. The cutie mark is embrodered on both sides and attacted to the suit are two giant wings. The wings are made up of a plastic skeleton covered in swan feathers. Don't worry, it's mostly shed feathers. I totally didn't collect them over the years...... What? Oh, yes, my costume! I have a crown, necklace, and shoes made of silver painted over with a layer of gold paint and then that clear stuff that helps it not chip. They are also engraved like the real things, and the engraved parts and painted with a darker color. And on the necklace and crown there are fake amethysts but they look pretty real if you ask me. And I also have cans of blue, green, purple, and pink mane spray as well as the sparkley kind so I can make my mane and tail look like Celestia's! I'll look just like her! Doesn't it just sound amazing?"

I'll just spend most of my time redecorating the castle, and getting prepared for the festival. As a member of the royal army, I need to always be on guard for whatever may happen. If I had the time though, I'd probably use my camouflage skills to paint myself into the background. That'd be way more fun than just pulling a sheet over myself. Nopony will ever realize that I'm there.

Ooh, Nightmare Night, one of the most interesting holidays there is! Also the most terrifying for ponies who see me but aren't me. For I go as "The Metal Mechanical Monstrosity from Mars", an alien of my own creation who's actually just me in an oddly patterned jumpsuit with a black, angular helmet festooned in glowing symbols and decorative flanges and a small headlamp/laser pointer combo connected to a backpack, which I had enchanted at one point so that as I breathe, it makes really loud hissing and clicking noises, like the respirators ponies use when SCUBA diving. It also garbles my speech somewhat when I want it to, so that I sound like an alien as well. That's only part of the package, though. in addition to the above contraption, I have a big saddle/harness combo that has four very spindly metal arms which end in three-fingered grippers, like a dragon's foreleg, only metal and about as thick as the average unicorn's horn. The best part, however, is that I can control these arms. I use my magic to send electrical signals through wires in my helmet to the backpack, where they link with magical batteries (some simple gem matrices I jury-rigged one week), which boost the signals enough to command the limbs to move. They aren't very agile or precise, but they don't need to be- they're more immediately terrifying if they make huge brutish motions rather than perfectly precise motions. I wear this outfit because I love pranking ponies- and what better way to do it than to scare them out of their wits? Although I hear that there's a really sensitive filly in Ponyville somewhere- I really hope I can find her and explain the costume first, so I don't accidentally give her a heart attack on the night of.

Ah yes, Día de los Muertos, Day of the Dead. I would dress in a lovely traditional outfit that is full of color and wear a wooden skull mask called a calacas and dance in honor of my deceased relatives. Then I would place wooden skulls on altars that are dedicated to the dead. Sugar skulls, made with the names of the dead person on the forehead, are eaten by a relative or friend. Of course I would share these sugar skulls with my friends^^

The Great and Powerful TRIXIE does not need a costume for you foals' silly little celebration. The Great and Powerful TRIXIE is far to busy for such trivial matters. Besides, even if Trixie wasn't, why Ever would Trixie deprive others of her amazingness behind some silly rubber mask?
( Also, Happy Nightmare Night/Halloween Everypony! )

"Ok. I'm going to make this clear for the last time. I'm not dressed as the a pony from a retirement village, I'm not dressed as a clown, and I am not dressed as a country music signer! I am Star Swirl the Bearded! How does everypony not know who Star Swirl the Bearded is? Maybe next Nightmare Night I should just go as somepony familiar, like Princess Celestia."
