Name: Candlelight Prose
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Species: Pegasus
Pelt Color: Beige-y cosmic latte. :>
Mane/Tail Color & Style: Amber, jagged and short. It's kept combed down, and parts in the front so as to hang over the sides of her face instead of being in her eyes. A little curly in the back.
Eye Color: Greenish dark olive, sometimes wears her reading glasses.
Cutie Mark: A scroll next to a lit candle, with a small heart shaped flame.
Residence: Currently living by herself in Ponyville, she still has family in Canterlot.
Occupation: Is looking to get a job teaching, although she spends most of her time just writing instead. Living off of the money inherited from her parents, she is mostly unconcerned with any sort of "work" anyways, having just gotten out of the academy. A common pony could accurately assume she's never really worked a day in her life.
Talents, Skills: Is positively brilliant, although extremely naive of things that would actually prove to be useful in the real world. She is particularly drawn to literature, reading and writing her own books seems to be a natural talent, although she still hasn't quite realized it. She has quite a collection of books, all on different subjects she studies.
Motivation: She's currently looking for her true calling, having gone through the academy specifically to become a teacher. She figured it would be an easy "occupation", along with allowing her to share some of her vast collection of knowledge with these lesser educated... common ponies. Perhaps through her writing she would be able to enlighten at least a few individuals.
Likes: chivalry, knowledge and intelligent ponies, studying, writing and reading, sharing her own wisdom (even if it isn't asked for)
Dislikes: Work, interruptions, uneducated ponies, mathematics...
Character Personality: She prides herself on her expanded knowledge, especially her well developed vocabulary. To an extent, some ponies find this to be an annoyance but she doesn't seem notice, or possibly even care. Her belief is that if one wishes to overcome the challenges they are to face in life, you must be adequately equipped with the knowledge of many useful, and varied skills. It's too bad that "useful" is a relative measure.
Candlelight is rather lazy when it comes to working, having had grown up being given anything and everything she'd ever need and more.
Bio (optional) : Such poor work ethic would probably have improved for any other pony, but Candle's tendency to get what she wanted seemed to follow her even up until now. Her inheritance money is going to be running low soon enough though, and that is motivation enough to finally go out and look for something to do with herself.
Since it wasn't all too common for a family of pegasi to be living in Canterlot instead of Cloudsdale, her earlier years tended to consist of her completely dedicated to her studies, not seeing the prospect of any benefits being gained from making relationships with the other ponies that lived around her. She dreamed of having a loving relationship with another brilliant pegasus somewhere out there, but sadly she hasn't come to find one meeting her own, very high standards.
Her years in the academy seemed to have prepared her only with everything she'll never need to know, being too smart for her own good and having no idea about what she needs now.
