Name: Sharla Tin, "Masquerade" or simply "Masq"
Gender: Female
Age: Adult, late Twenties
Species: Pegasus
Fur/Hide Color: Light Tan
Mane/Tail Color & Style: Silver mane of about mid length, stretching to her shoulder. Often it is undone other than being kept straight, hanging loosely off her neck and head.
Eye Color: Brown
Cutie Mark : A mardi gras style mask with three plumes of blue feathers on each side going upward to downward
Build: Fairly slim, light.
Residence: Ponyville
Occupation: Surveyor/Con artist
Talents, Skills: A former actress, Masq is a very charismatic pony who excels in being "somepony else" or blending into the crowd; but quite adept at impersonating and her neutral bland colored coat and mane make it all that much easier to alter her looks. Her hair is kept at a mid length since most female ponies tend to keep it that long, however she has methods and devices for such instances. Such as a body strip she wraps tightly over her wings around her body and paints the according color to have her resemble that clear body on Earth Ponies or Unicorns, as well as a horn of Ivory she can adhere to her forehead, though she'll rarely impersonate a unicorn, as any one that would be worth impersonating would have a signature magical property. The result can be a near flawless, indistinguishable double of most any female pony. Physical appearance alteration isn't all however, her ability to make vocal impressions is uncanny, needing only minutes of a conversation with a pony to be able to mimic a matching voice...so long as they are female.
Character Personality: Very out going, very charismatic, she is happy to strike up a conversation with most any pony who approaches her, not only does it satisfy her social needs, but it also adds another potential mask to her list of personas. What she does with these "masks" isn't always on the side of good however. On a slow day, she does tend to put on a disguise and cause a little mischief about the town.
Bio : Born into a life of show in Manehattan, Sharla ate, breathed, and slept acting. Her father and mother were both performers for the theater and often she'd participate as a small extra or a stagehand, learning the ropes of the art of show. Taken under wing by her parents, she was tutored in role assuming, changing her personality and above all, using her voice and words as a mutli-tool. Even off the stage she'd refine her abilities, intent on getting the most out of her vocals, and though she did develop a Manehattan style accent, she could easily find a way to best it so that her skills were not hindered.
Though at the ripe age of being able to live on her own, she left her parents immediately to begin her own legacy! It went smoothly for a few years, but she made a grave mistake in not getting to know the right ponies. Soon, she was losing important roles to those who "knew" the producers or the directors of productions, or being overlooked completely. One day she decided she could live off her current funds and simply stopped searching. But she drained right through it all fast, and it wasn't long before the glory of fame and fortune were whisked out from right under her. Forced out on the streets with a minuscule fortune, she felt her calling was no longer needed in Manehattan. With the money she had, she was able to buy a one-way ticket to Appleoosa, where she had hoped her career might resurface. Though she wasn't successful in getting a solid gig, her street impersonations garnered her a small amount of saddle change. But it did also introduce her to a pony who offered her a second chance at a life. He called himself "Wild Card", but she had a feeling that wasn't his true name...her suspicions solidified upon learning he was the leader of a band of misfits. Offered a position, something she'd been yearning for the longest time, she was quick to accept it, her "Employer" finding her ability to flawlessly assume the identity of another pony a great way to have a "pony on the inside" to survey any goings-on among the high and low class of a city. Though she still didn't have a real home however, as she goes where Wild Card needs her. At the moment, she's happily residing in Ponyville under a roof supplied by the Saddles.
