Guiding Light hesitated before entering the house. His parents told him never to enter a stranger's house, but this Red Moon seemed like a pony that could be trusted. He was drawn to the paintings that were around him, many of them of animals or nature, and some that were of a night scene. It seemed that she didn't live alone, and Guiding wondered who the other pony might be. Then he remembered what red Moon said about him and his light. "You mentioned that you liked my ability to produce light and you wanted to paint a pony that was illuminated by light. Are you saying that you want to paint me?"

Hastily straightening up the mess, on the table, Red Moon nodded at Guiding Light's question. Yes. I do. Your talent is rare. Never have I seen a pony with your gift! Capturing the beauty of the night, the majesty of the ruins, and such a rare gift would make a beautiful painting! Indeed, I have painted many canvases, but never have I come up with one that would be so beautiful! I could paint it now if you have the time. It doesn't take long. As she finished speaking, she grabbed the plate of half-eaten sandwhichs and went in the other room. Moments later, she returned with new sandwhiches. Here, have a sandwich. Do you want something to drink, Guiding Light? Red Moon set the sandwiches down on the table and walked over to the door. From the rack, she grabbed her bag and walked over to the pile of finished paintings on the floor. Using her magic, she put them into her bag and closed it. She then set the bag down next to the door, and walked back over to the table. Reaching under the table, she pulled out some paintbrushes and paint. Using her magic again, she pulled an easel and an empty canvas over to her and set them up. Setting the paints down next to the easel, she looked back at Guiding Light, a twinkle in her eye.

"A sandwich is fine, Red Moon," he said as he took a bite. This was the second time he heard somepony remark about how special his talent was. "So you think that my talent is special and that if you painted me doing my magic it would be beautiful?" Guiding Light was amazed at Red Moon. No pony ever said that he or his magic was beautiful, except for his parents. Did his magic do more than just light up the night? Did it also bring forth emotions like beauty and hope? "Um... I guess you can paint me. You want to paint me right here?"

"Yes, I do. You yourself won't be in this room, but in the Moon Castle. I know the castle's main rooms and corridors by heart, so it won't be a problem." As she spoke, she used her magic to lif the paintbrushes and paint. Within seconds, the ruins began to take shape, as well as their subject, Guiding Light. Not thirty minutes later, the easel was finished. Every brushstroke showed the beauty of the ruins and the illumined foal. The ruins were dark and mysterious, and glowing eyes could be seen in the darkest of shadows, but a single soul roaming the ruins was illumined by a gift. A light that hovered just above the foal's head and brightened his form. In the light an angel could be seen, guarding the foal in his adventures. The painting represented innocence, protected from those who meant harm, and so Red Moon called it that. "Innocence" It is finished, Guiding Light. And as a gift for staying and being my model, you may take one of my paintings. As she spoke, she motioned to the paintings on her walls. She then grabbed her canvas bag and slung it over her back, as she prepared for the trip into town.
((OOC: Do you want to continue the thread here or move into ponyville?))

(OOC: We can keep move it to Ponyville after this post.)
"Wow! That's an amazing picture, Red Moon. It's like I'm, actually still in the Moon Castle Ruins. Thanks for letting me be in your picture. Now what painting do I want?" He scanned the shelf of paintings, looking at each one. At last he saw a picture of a full moon rising over a snowy hillside, the snow glistening from its light. "Oooo! I like that one!" He took that one and placed it into one of his saddlebags, taking care to protect his new art. "Alright then, let's head to Ponyville!"

((OOC: Hang on! I'm comin too! )) A lean, black pony came plodding down the stairs that led to the kitchen, his boots and coat still on. He looks around and notices that there is an empty plate by the garbage and spots his sandwiches in the garbage. He runs into the next room, his ears back and his eyes flashing in anger at his wasted sandwich. Sis! I was gonna eat that sandwh-- he cut off as he noticed the white and silvery guest as well as his sister's packed bags. Who's this? And where are you going?

Red Moon looked up in surprise at Black Sun as he ran into the room. "Black Sun! I didn't know you were home! This is Guiding Light. I met him at the ruins. I'm taking him back to Ponyville, and while I'm there, I'm going to sell my paintings." Her eyes twinkled at her brother's anger and she playfully flicked her tail. "Wanna come, you little dragon?" she giggled, a smile creeping across her face.
((OOC: Sorry about my absence. No muse. And I allowed Black Sun to join seeing as he's my real brother... So one more round... then we'll go to Ponyville.))

Guiding Light was about to leave with Red Moon when he saw another pony appearing from the top floor of the house. He, like Red moon, didn't think there was anypony home. "Oh hello. I'm Guiding Light. I was at the ruins when Red Moon found me there. She's going to help me get back to Ponyville. You can come too if you want."

"I'll come with. I can sell some of my candy!" As he spoke, he grabbed a bag that had been hidden from view and began to eat some of the candy in it. With his mouth full he spoke again. "But you'll have to replace my sandwhiches..."
