Name: Wild Roses Nick: Rose Gender: Mare Age: Young Adult Species: Flutterpony
Fur Color: Pale blue Mane/Tail Color & Style: Curly pink hair and tail Eye Color: Bright green eyes Cutie Mark: Three blooming wild roses on top of compass rose. Appearance: Wild Roses is quite small compared with regular ponyfolk, she stands about the height of a large filly (Fluttershy as filly is a good measurement) despite being adult (Well, close to full adult) but is lighter built. She has thin, delicate wings which are strong enough to carry herself with just a bit of extra luggage in a saddlebag. Her wings have an elusive white pattern on the wings, and touch of other colours on it. Rose is quite leggy and slender built. She wears a navy silken cloak to protect her wings when traveling.
Personality: She is quite the sweetheart, nice and polite when meeting new people. She has a very including personality and likes to make sure everyone feels involved. Rose is very level-headed in most situations; however like most there are things that can rock her boat. She likes to play and fool around, and despite being almost adult, she loves a good joke and
She is not afraid to meet new ponies, or to do something that isn’t just part of a routine life, but has often lacked the motivation to do it. Now that she is on her way into a new world, she very excited and thrilled. Rose has a strong sense of justice and loyalty, though is still young enough to enjoy the little things in life, such as sliding on ice in the winter or bully bigger ponies into letting her ride on their backs. She likes having fun and she likes to laugh. She often tries to find the positive in any situation, and likes to walk into a challenge with her head held high.
Motivations/Desires: Explore a whole new world beyond her valley, to find new ponies and new places and to learn new things.
Bio: From a young age, Rose had a desire of exploring, and often explored the waste land of the Flutter Valley, learning all its secrets. She knew where the most beautiful sunrises occurred and where the prettiest patches of wild roses grew each spring. Like many young ponies, she often expressed her desire of explore beyond the valley, she never truly seized the chance but kept dreaming about it. Not wanting to cause distress with her mother and family.
As she grew up, she settled down like most, her duty became to sing to flowers to encourage them to bloom during spring time. Despite having the compass rose as well on her cutie mark, she assumed making flowers bloom was the thing that made her different. However, life came to a change in the summer, on the longest day of the year. When the sun never rose up on the sky that morning, Rose knew there had to be more to the world besides their valley.
Rose grew restless, and started to explore the valley again, and found that she moved herself closer and closer to the border each time. Until she finally had enough, she packed her bag with just enough items and with just a note on the door, Wild Roses left.
Residence: Flutter Valley – Outside Equestria. On her way to move to Equestria Occupation: Teacher/storyteller. Talents, Skills: Singing - has a soft and quiet voice which in Flutter Valley causes flowers to wake up from slumber in spring and in the early mornings at dawn. – This might not work in Equestria. She also has a strong inner compass; she knows exactly where she is and can find her way back home no matter where she travels (like pigeons homing instincts).
Likes: Spring, autumn, summer, windy weather, clouds, rainbows, meeting new ponies. Dislikes: Thunder, Lightning, snow, dragons and winter. Later on, she will hate being called a filly or foal due her small size.
Notes about Flutterponies: - Flutterponies are believed to be a distant relative to the Pegasus pony, however they are smaller sized. - They don’t speak regular pony language; however the languages are closely related. In the beginning of first encounter, they probably wouldn’t understand each other completely due the differences. (I’ll post with her in italics, to emphasis the different language, and as she learns regular ponytalk, I’ll stop ;D) - Flutterpony wings are highly delicate and can easily tear. They have similar structure to butterfly wings, but can fold more properly against their bodies. - Due their weaker wings, they can’t fly for the same distances as regular pegasi, and they tend to get easier tired from flying to long, so when traveling great distances, they prefer walking. - The flutterpony society doesn’t have the same concept of money/bits, and is still dependent on trading goods and services. -
