Although it was still early in the day the sun hung high in the sky, it's rays warming the entire stretch of Sweet Apple Acres. Not a single apple escaped its heated embrace and no pony for that matter. A vermilion earth pony made her way around the perimeter of her home, her eyes watching out for anything irregular. Everything was going well until the emerald irises came across something she wasn't at all happy to see.
She frowned to herself, making her way over to the offending sight. One of the farm's main fences was in pieces! Shards of the once solid wooden frame layed all around her hooves."What in tarnation? You've gotta be kiddin' me!" She couldn't believe it. Who or what could have done this? Oh, it didn't matter now, the damage was done. It was far more important to get the fence fixed then worry about how it even happened.
Luckily enough the apple family kept enough wooden boards in the barn for situations like this. She was going to need some help though, she still had chores to do for the day! Putting fixing the broken fence of the list as well-- there was no way she was going to get it all done on her own.
AppleJack hated asking for help, especially when she could do it herself, but she wasn't going to let another apple bucking scenario happen. She would ask for help this time--maybe.
The workhorse got to work, heaving all the materials and tools she would need into a small cart although. Where was the-- Appleboom had it didn't she.
"Darn that silly filly. Ah told her to put things back when she's done with em'. Great, now I gotta go find her too." She sighed to herself, putting the cart back down to begin the search of her sister and of course the waterproof paint. Today was going to be a long day.

Loading her own small cart up by the clubhouse, Applebloom hoisted a can of paint out with her teeth. The plain white paint sloshed in it's can, and she turned to eye the clubhouse window shutters. Setting down the can, the little filly sat back on her haunches and held her hooves up, trying to frame the windows, squinting at them. Yeah, the shutters were a little mucky, but nothing a quick lick of paint wouldn't fix!
Pulling a brush out of her cart, she began to attempt to prise the lid open. First with the edge of her hoof, next with her teeth and... Confound this paint tin! "Why won't y'open?" Applebloom cried in annoyance. Was it because the paint had dried round the edge? Trotting back to her cart, she stamped a hoof in frustration. She didn't even have anything to lever the lid off with.
"Ah ain't through with you," the filly hissed at the stubborn paint tin, that seemed to sit there. Quietly. Tauntingly. "Ah'll have th'lid off'f yeh, ev'n if it's th'last thing Ah do!"
First she trotted round it, eyeing up any potential weak points. Then, aiming an experimental kick at it, the little earth pony sent the tin flying, before galloping to it's landing spot. Nope. A little dented, but still closed.
With a pout and a frown, the filly uprighted the can, whining at it. "Why won'tcha open?" Sitting on her haunches once more, she sighed, blowing the front of her mane upwards. "Ah've darned near had enough o' yah."

She made her way quickly down a nearby dirt path, following the only lead she had. The vermillion female had spoken to her brother in passing and as he mentioned seeing the silly filly pulling a cart towards her club house, that seemed to be the best place to start.
Sure as sugar, as soon as she grew close to the base of operations her sister and her friend had been using, the sounds of frustration met her ears, causing a small chuckle to escape her.
"Sugar, Yah aint gunna open it by yellin' at the tin." She smiled, walking into the clearing behind her younger sister, her hoof nudging the ground gently.
It was easy to see what had been going on here, especially with the now very dented tin that lay on the ground not to far from her own hooves. With a shake of her head the female walked forward once more, looking down at her sister.
"Darlin' Im gunna need that paint. The fence is all torn up and Ah'm gunna need it to paint the fixed wood." she sighed looking behind her in the direction of the area, it was driving her mad not knowing what had happened to it. Suddenly an idea came to her, causing her to quickly look back at the young filly before her. "Thinkin' about it, Yall can help me fix it to! With BIG Mac bein' busy and all im gunna need the extra set of hooves.

Yellow ears twitched as she heard hoof falls. Pausing, the little filly frowned towards the path; she wanted to surprise Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle after all, so what would they be doing up here? However, the sounds revealed another pony, one she was more relieved to see.
"Well, Ah sure as heck tried ev'rythin' else! What else was Ah meant t'do?" Applebloom pouted at her big sister, gesturing at the dented tin. Almost tauntingly, it rolled a little as a breeze caught it. Her eyes narrowed at it, the dastardly little thing. Maybe she could-- her thoughts were cut short by Applejack's voice, and she looked up.
"But Applejack, Ah wanted t'paint th'clu-" Her words were cut short and her mouth fell open as the little filly was suddenly volunteered to help without her consent. "But Ah... Applejack, I dun wanna paint th'fence, Ah wanna do the clubhouse." Eyes going large and round, she put on the cutest demeanor she could. It'd probably fail, but she really really wanted to paint those windows. They were all tatty looking, the paint starting to peel from the boards, and Applebloom wanted to get them fixed before the water got to them.
