"One, if it's so minor, then why were you running like Beelzebub was hot on your hooves? Now I think about it, why were you running in the first place, when you have wings and can take the most direct route available to ponies who can't teleport?" Thunder stared blankly at Apple for a second, before blinking owlishly once and continuing. "Two, I definitely don't have anything to do today. Why else would I have just been sitting over there? Hay, I'm still sitting here, talking to you two. Why don't we walk as we talk, if nopony else has any pressing engagements? Been looking for some help anyways since I finished preparing my latest batch of "experiments". Gonna need a LOT of high-strength burn salve if I'm going to survive this round though."

Wispy nodded at Apple, listening to Thunder. He thought the pegasus had already made his excuse as to why he wasn't flying... Still it seemed that he wasn't in need of their help, but it might not be a bad idea to accompany him on the trip. "I hadn't planned on really doing much today either..." He watched for the others' reply, not wanting to intrude.

"Well," The pegasus began, when Thunder had stopped talking, "I suppose it probably wasn't the best idea of me to be running, but I guess I panicked when I read such a short letter. "Come quick. Something's happened," it said. It was only signed with one letter. I'm not exactly a flier, and I can't exactly travel fast through the air. I mainly use my wings for flying up, to do things like, say, get out of a hole. Or more often, I create storms with them. I can twist and turn in the air, do flips and move things around, sure, but speed isn't my strong point. I suppose, if you both aren't doing anything, you could come with me, if you like. I guess there's no point in running any more."

"Oh good, let's get moving then! Who knows, maybe Pinkie DID get into your coffee?" Thunder smirked at the prospect, and then whacked himself softly on the side of his head as he realized he had already cracked that one. "Well, then, after you, Doctor A."

"OK then, let's get moving," The pegasus said, unsure if these ponies should really accompany him. "I'm actually completely unsure if whatever this thing is is dangerous or not, so maybe you should prepare yourself for anything." He paused for a second. "Although, I'm probably just over reacting as usual."
((Wispy asked me to skip his turn, btw))

((guess that makes it my turn again.)) " Put me up against something more dangerous to my well-being than me and I will truly have seen everything in this world." Thunder said sarcastically as he turned in the direction Apple had been racing earlier and started walking at a reasonably quick pace- not walking, but not trotting either. "Let's see if we can't get to the bottom of the mystery of the emergency at the doctor's. I'd dress as Fetlock Holmes if I had the time and costume, but we'll just have to make do with merely my astounding mind" He said a second later, over his shoulder to the other two, who hadn't yet started moving, in a manner so dripping with sarcasm he could probably coat a stack of pancakes in it, and still get the message across.

With a quick roll of his eyes, Wispy followed after the ponies. The remarks were becoming unexpectedly weirder the more Thunder made them... Even with the sarcastic tone. They'd be able to figure out any problem they came across though, the three of them shared the passion for knowledge that would've convinced him alone.
There was that sense of wonder, the mysterious awe of what awaited the group. If this doctor needed assistance, the courteous thing to do would be to lend a helping hoof after all. Trying to keep the brisk pace the unicorn had already set, he disregarded the materials he had been carrying and decided he'd return to his own home later to return them. Although it didn't really help him much with keeping up, oh well, it wouldn't be too much of an issue.

The doctor started following after Thunder, without saying a word, convinced that he had said enough. He hoped that there was no real danger happening at his house, in case of something bad happening to these helpful ponies.
He realised that he'd have to start leading the group at some point in order to get to his house, but he thought he might as well follow Thunder for the moment. Thunder Drive gave him the impression that he was a leader, and, despite his hurry, he thought he'd see how long it took the pony to realise that he didn't know where the doctors house was.

"By the way, Apple, where exactly is your house? All I know is that it's in this general direction, because that's where you were sprinting earlier." said Thunder, waving his hooves vaguely in front of himself, as he realized a few seconds later that he had no idea where he was going. "Also, Wispy, are you carrying metal with a point that can be driven into the ground and exposed to high voltages and temperatures? Picking up your stuff earlier built up a bit of a charge around my horn, and the smell of the ozone it's producing is giving me something of a headache."

Wispy was wrong! Up until this point Thunder's comments could've seemed reasonable... He mostly stuck next to the doctor as they started moving, Thunder Drive seemingly taking charge of the group. With a quick nod he responded to the question presented, "Well... I guess yeah, some of my supplies could be used in that manner. I'd hope we wouldn't come across something that would require such risky... problem solving though." However dangerous it sounded, he reassured himself that Thunder probably would've known what he was doing. He was glad they were thinking ahead though.
It was somewhat funny that the unicorn came across that problem. Clearly he must have been more of a leader-type of pony than either of them, or maybe he was just excited...? Whichever, it was good to know that he wouldn't find him left behind, he wasn't the reserved kind of pony that would be forgotten. In conclusion, Wispy expected to see him again even after this little adventure. Hopefully the same would prove to be true with Applefox as well.

The doctor let Wispy answer the question before answering the question directed at him, amused that Thunder had noticed that the way to his house was also part of the unknown. "If you keep going in the direction we're going," he said, "I can tell you when we reach my house. It's not too far off in that direction." He pointed to in front of him to indicate the way the trio were already heading. "It's just down a nice little pathway which we'll eventually reach." He fell silent again for the moment, wondering what kind of conversation either of the other two would offer, if any.

"Good to know I'm not going in the complete wrong direction. Also, Wispy, I only ask because my magic is uncontrollable to the point that everything I do involves electricity in some way, shape or form, even if it's just an ion buildup on my face. The metal is for discharging said ions through the process everypony should know as "grounding". The mechanics are kind of complicated, but essentially the earth is a giant negatively charged rock, so the positive charge on my face would move to it if given a decent pathway, such as the metal spikes I have in each room of my house. The temperature bit is because the movement of any amount of charge generates heat, and a lot of it. I think that there are circumstances where something could conduct electricity perfectly and not lose any to heat, but those are ridiculously difficult to achieve, to the point that I don't know them off the top of my head."

Looking ahead at the directions Apple had given, the earth pony attempted to make out any sign of the pathway he mentioned. So distracted by this task, Wispy managed to only halfway listen to Thunder's explanation. "Hm? But even with magic, I'd think that electricity is a pretty difficult thing to control still..." At least it made sense, from what he did hear from the elucidation.
He turned his attention back to the conversation though. "Everything needs to involve electricity though, Thunder? That seems like quite a handicap... It just seems like... Well, a dangerous one to me. Although, you've probably had a lot of practice by now, have learned your limits and whatnot, huh?" This of course, was intended not to be insulting, but was in fact purely out of curiosity. It was an interesting talent, controlling such a chaotic element. He was just a bit worried about the unicorn's safety. Being concerned for the condition of another pony wasn't a bad thing, was it?

The doctor kept on walking, listening to the ponies talk. He still had a small lingering worry about his house, but he felt more relaxed listening to the two ponies talk about science. He figured that he shouldn't mention just how far away his house was for the moment, for fear of making them reconsider their offers for help. As much as he worried for their danger, he didn't often have ponies around him, and he enjoyed the company.

"It pales when you learn about the bigger drawback. Seriously, I wrap my legs for a reason, which I'll explain if you want me to, and I'll take them off if you REALLY want me to and aren't squeamish. Also, surprisingly, I don't actually know my limits, as I've never really tried because, from what I have tried, they're so close to fatal it would be foalish to fly that high, lest I fall." replied Thunder. "Honestly, though, it's really more of an annoyance than anything. Plus, it does allow me to have some fun every once in a while." He continued after a short pause, after which a devilish grin spread across his face and he poked Wispy, allowing a small amount of the charge to dissipate through the contact- enough to sting a bit for a few seconds, but not enough to hurt, leave a mark, or do anything more than what most ponies do using socks and carpet or rugs. "Bzzt!"
